No, I am not trying to be dramatic. As you can see, if you watch the video below, that really is the title!
All the bananas I have ever eaten, and that is quite a few, and many were what we considered 'wild' (I grew up in the tropics). But who knew that GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) was coming to a banana near you and had already been done!
I found this bit of news on Tumblr (feel free o follow me!) The conference is happening in El Paso, but I know some families really need to get this information. So I am posting it!
I stumbled across this little gem a few days ago and had to share! The keyword here is FUNNY! My oldest, who is a writer (NanoRemo FTW!) and I could not stop laughing at some of the prompts given! But these are also thoughtful and some are down right challenging!
This post is political. It is also HIGHLY controversial.
I don’t usually write politically or controversially, certainly not on topics so ‘Off-topic’ to homeschooling. I have no plans to address this topic again. Ever. No plans at all.
I am not a prophet. I can’t even say that I am a particularly good Christian (whatever that is). But I do believe in Jesus Christ, the Only begotten Son of the Most High God, the Sacrifice for the sins of the whole world, the soon returning King.
I have discovered a new love! Pinterest! It beats out every kind of 'internet thing' that I have ever tried. And that's quite a bit. I am a web developer and have had to design or program for all kinds of platforms. Most of them I thought was a complete waste of time. Some I liked pretty well (TWITTER and TUMBLR) .
Today is July 3rd. It is blistering hot with a frolicking hot wind stirring the leaves of our shady Magnolia.
I should be eyeballs deep...waist high....in the throes of (that's better) planning our yearly 4th Of July festivities (AKA – Grillin' Protein Day). But I am not. Instead, I have taken apart our schoolroom. The bulk portion of which is now in the garage (we are supposed to clean the carpet...). And I have destroyed the chaos that is three large bookshelves filled with books, some wayward toys and lots of dust bunnies.
HomeSchool In Houston remembers the lives that were given in the service of justice and freedom. We thank each man and woman for their sacrifice and we thank their families and loved ones. We pray for peace and the end of the need for such a sacrifice.
