It's time to sign up for my summer 2016 art and writing camps! Don't wait, these are almost FULL!
Classes will be held at the Weekly Community Center 8440 Greenhouse Rd, Cypress, TX 77433
I wanted to create an affordable, fun camp for kids of all ages. Come make some new friends, and create a masterpiece each day! The cost is $75.00 per camp (5 days this year!), or $200.00 for all three weeks! Ask about additional discounts for multiple siblings. Pick one or sign up for all three. (Price includes all supplies, fees, and a small snack each day) We will use all kinds of art mediums such as drawing pencils, watercolor and acrylic paint, colored pencils, clay, oil and chalk pastels, and many more!
Drawing In Color: June 20th – 24th from 10-noon :Drawing In Color: June 20th – 24th from 10-noon: During this week we will learn the principles of drawing. They will learn the basics of line and form, but we will also explore color and different drawing styles including Magna. They will get their own drawing pencils and will create a portfolio to take home at the end of the week.
That’s SO Abstract! : July 18th to 22nd from 10-noon We will discover early abstract artists like Kandinsky and Delaunay (my favorites) and compare them to later abstract artists Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock.
Full Week! Calligraphy Camp: July 18th – July 22nd 12:30 – 2pm $40 ages 10+ Includes a calligraphy ink pen set and three interchangeable nibs.
Pop Art is Not Just a Soup Can: August 15th-19th from 10-noon: In this fun and colorful class we will learn about Pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Chuck Close to name a few. We will try out some of their cool techniques. We will also have fun with creative lettering and cartoons.
