Learning Differences Homeschool Network of Southeast Texas is a homeschool group in the northwest Houston/Cypress area for anyone homeschooling a high-functioning kid with any diagnosis that affects learning. We’ve got a very broad range of diagnoses in the group. The group currently has 85+ members, and about 120 kids, with about half of our kids age 12-19, one third age 5-11, and the remainder preschool age. We have regular activities scheduled weekly through the summer and into fall, parent support meetings every month, and lots of other things in the works, including a pottery class for teens a local pottery place has agreed to offer for our kids this fall (a preteen class is also available). If you're interested in joining, please read our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/LDkids/events/ and our website at http://www.ldkidshomeschool.com/ -- there’s lots more information about the group there.
If you’re interested in joining the group, it’s a two-step process: (1) complete the membership form, which can be found on our website on the Join page and on our Facebook page in the Description section, and (2) ask to join the Facebook group. You can also join just through the website if you don’t want to be on Facebook. Beginning August 1, there will be a $20 annual membership fee. Anyone with questions is welcome to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
